Universal Audio Volt USB Interfaces
UA shake up interface space with new line, all with "Vintage Pre" mode; 3 models offer analogue compression based off the UA 1176.
Universal Audio introduces a new range of USB Audio Interfaces named the Volt Series. With decades of experience and passion behind them, UA have produced five new interfaces and two studio packs in the series. All units and packs come bundled with an essential suite of audio and music software including Ableton, Melodyne, UJAM’s Virtual Drummer, Marshall, Ampeg and more.
All models sport a Vintage Mic Preamp mode, tube emulation circuitry built to give the full sound of the UA 610 mic pre used on many classic recordings. The Volt 176, 276 and 476 also come with the 76 compressor, an innovative analog circuit inspired by UA’s classic 1176 Limiting Amplifier. The 76 Compressor features three presets to tame voice, guitars, synths, and drum machines.
Each model features 24-bit/192kHz conversion compatible with Mac, PC and iOS, USB bus-power, 48V phantom, MIDI In & Out, “studio-quality” headphone amplifier, direct montoring and a Vintage Mic Preamp mode. The five different models consist of:
- Volt 1; Desktop 1-in/2-out Interface, RRP $309.00
- Volt 2; Desktop 2-in/2-out Interface, RRP $419.00
- Volt 176; Desktop 1-in/2-out Interface with 76 Compressor, an all-new analog circuit based on UA’s iconic 1176, RRP $549.00

- Volt 476; Desktop 4-in/4-out Interface also with new analog compressor and external power, RRP $829.00
The Volt 2 and Volt 276 Studio Packs includes Volt 2 and Volt 276 interfaces respectively along with a Volt condenser microphone and Volt closed-back headphones.
