Unity Audio’s New B.A.B.E.

Unity Audio introduces the B.A.B.E (Boulder Active Bass Extender). The speaker is designed to take the Unity Audio Boulder MKII and turn it into a true four-way monitoring system with extended SPL and frequency response. The system comprises two bass extension cabinets with their own rack mountable 750W Class-D amplifiers and speaker-management. All housed in separate rack mountable units that control all the audio routing, gain, cross-over management, optional EQ and limiting.
The B.A.B.E. features a single 12-inch driver with a large five-inch Hexatech external voice coil wound with a hexagonal aluminium coil wire. The same sealed cabinet approach with internal isolation is utilised in the B.A.B.E. to provide tighter and more accurate linear bass reproduction, making it an ideal choice for critical music applications. Suitable for all recording and mastering facilities, the system can be used free standing or soffit mounted in either horizontal or vertical configurations.
