THE ARRAY IN SPAIN…

We often say that the speaker-on-a-stick market is crowded and fiercely competitive. Lately, the same goes for the compact line array business. Spanish company D.A.S. has joined the fray with a line array system called the Event Series, aimed at either mobile or installation applications. Event includes three models, being two line arrays and a companion bass system. The Event 208A and the Event 210A are both three-way powered line arrays in double 8-inch and double 10-inch configurations respectively powered by a three channel Class D amplifier, which provides 360W peak per channel. The amp´s rear panel includes Neutrik XLR and powerCON connectors, status LEDS to facilitate setup and D.A.S.’s Easy-DSPTM interface that simplifies preset selection for the number of units and throw depth. The subwoofer is the Event 218A and you’ll get no prizes for guessing it’s a twin 18-inch cabinet. Front-loaded, the system is powered by a 3600W peak Class D amplifier. Steel rigging hardware is included on all the line arrays systems, and transport dollies and protective covers are available for all models.
