SHURE PSM300 WIRELESS PERSONAL MONITORING SYSTEM
Hoping to cash in on the success of its popular ULX-D & QLX-D digital wireless systems, Shure has released a new wireless personal monitoring system, the PSM300, featuring a half-rack transmitter and two body-pack receivers to choose from.
The system’s P3T transmitter operates on a 24MHz bandwidth with 15 channels per frequency band and features an auto frequency scan function and IR syncing. The company has also released both the P3R body-pack, powered by standard AA batteries and the P3RA body-pack, fitted with the SB900 lithium-ion rechargeable battery that provides extended runtime, along with compatibility with other devices, such as the PSM900 and PSM1000.
The system comes in two versions, both of which feature 24-bit digital audio processing, the company’s patented Audio Reference Companding, and Mix Mode technology, with wireless coverage that extends to over 90m of range.
The P3TRA version of the system features an all-metal chassis transmitter and the P3RA body-pack, which also features an all-metal chassis. Along with a high-contrast LCD screen, menu-based navigation, adjustable volume limiter and an EQ. A set of SE215 sound isolating earphones, featuring enhanced bass is also included.
The P3TR1 version is an entry-level system, which comes with a set of SE112 sound isolating earphones and body-pack.
Also released, is the PA411 Antenna Combiner accessory, which allows RF distribution of the PSM300 for up to 4 systems.
