Razzle Dazzle ‘Em

Nanobox’s new Razzmatazz is a compact drum sequencer that combines FM synthesis and sampling. Featuring advanced voice architecture, Razzmatazz puts a huge range of percussive sounds within reach — from deep, gritty kick drums to searing snare hits and crisp hi-hats.

The device can be triggered using the 8 touchscreen pads — or via an external MIDI controller — and up to 16 rhythms can be created using an intuitive visual sequencer that allows all pad states and steps to be seen simultaneously. The sound of each pad can be shaped by combining variations of two FM oscillators and a WAV file. Additionally, two filters, two envelopes, a resonator, a snap generator, and three additional effects can also be implemented to modify the signal. Four unique types of distortion are available to create incredibly distinct and powerful drum sounds, and as such the Razzamatazz is capable of massive analogue drum sounds, offering an innovative feature set.
