Mackie has announced the launch of the ProFXv2 Series Professional Effects Mixers. The V2 series has been expanded with two new models, the four-channel ProFX4v2 and the 30-channel ProFX30v2.

Perhaps the most notable feature in these mixers is Mackie’s Vita preamps, specifically designed for the highly dynamic world of live sound. Mackie claims these all-new class-A pres are “virtually noiseless, even at high gain levels”, with the purpose of reproducing the performances of even the most dynamic vocalist or musician with clarity and presence.

Also an eye-catching addition, Mackie incorporates its new ReadyFX effects engine to the lineup of mixers. This new engine employs floating-point DSP, designed for the intensive processing of high-quality audio signals. Each mixer features a choice of 16 reverbs, choruses and delays.

On top of this, each ProFXv2 mixer features multi-band GEQ for tuning mains to get the best possible sound in any venue or notching out problem frequencies from stage monitors. Each model features a flexible mix of I/O and, with six models available, covering applications ranging from four to 30 inputs, you’re sure to find one the right size for your needs.

All mixers in the series except the ProFX4v2 also feature built-in USB recording and playback, making it useful in a variety of scenarios from capturing an inspired band rehearsal session to recording a live set for distribution to the audience. The ProFX16v2, ProFX22v2 and ProFX30v2 all feature four-bus architecture for additional mix management, along with dedicated inline compression on select channels.

Mackie ProFXv2 series mixers will be available in Australia late June 2015. Pricing starts a A$369 for the FX4 V2, up to A$1999 for the FX30 V2.
