Picasio Keyboard
NAMM 2022: Casio’s limited-edition CT-S1 created by “Modern-Day Picasso”.
Casio has unveiled a limited-edition CT-S1 keyboard created by Romero Britto at NAMM 2022. Thanks to the artist the limited-edition digital keyboard has been redesigned and now has a completely new aesthetic.
Britto, who has been dubbed the “modern-day Picasso”, is a well-known figure in the pop art world. He mixes Cubism and Pop art forms in a vibrant, colourful manner. The CT-S1FH, with its off-white case and Britto’s characteristic design behind the keys, is readily recognisable in this style.
The new design is based on the Casiotone CT-S1WE, a 61-key MIDI keyboard that comes in a small, portable package and includes built-in Bass Reflex speakers for added accessibility. AiX sound, a Surround Sound mode, and the option to link to a smartphone or tablet are among the other features of the keyboard. A Bluetooth dongle and the SP-3 sustain pedal are included with the keyboard.
“The artwork I designed for the Casiotone stemmed from the inspiration of music,” Romero Britto said, referring to the CT-S1FH. Music energises me, makes me joyful, and inspires me to produce even more artwork every time I listen to it. So, with the new CT-S1FH, I welcome you to compose music whenever you want, wherever you want, as vividly and colourfully as my paintings.”
