Motu is now shipping the UltraLite mk4, a half-rack interface with 18 inputs and 22 outputs. With Motu’s DSP mixing capability, new low latency drivers and wireless control over mobile audio recording and mixing, it’s packed full of functionality. Two front-panel combination inputs provide easy access to connect mics or instruments.

Digital I/O includes connectivity for ADAT optical, stereo S/PDIF, and MIDI in/out jacks. Balanced DC-coupled analogue outputs achieve a commendable 117dB of dynamic range. Motu says its new optimised drivers deliver roundtrip latency as low as 1.83ms with a 32-sample host buffer setting at 96k. Expanded DSP brings double the processing power compared to the mk3 and the redesigned console-style mixer includes EQ, compression, and reverb. The Motu UltraLite mk4 hooks up via USB 2.0 and is capable of sample rates up to 192k.
