FOSTEX HEADPHONES & FIRST EVER INNER-EARS
Fostex will be introducing its new TH7 Series monitor headphones at NAMM 2017, featuring a tuned closed-back design and 40mm dynamic diaphragm. The TH7’s performance is inherited from Fostex’s THB and TH7W predecessors in a face-lifted iteration with four attractive colour variations.
The TH7 Series has a frequency of 10Hz to 35kHz and full 100mW power capacity with 100dB sensitivity. It’s well suited to a range of applications from live sound monitoring to tracking or mixing in the studio. High-grade leatherette earpads reduce stress of long-term listening and the 1.2m cable has a gold-plated 3.5mm stereo plug.
For those who prefer earphones, Fostex has got that covered too. The new TE04 IEM-style earphones have specially tuned dynamic drivers and closed housing for balanced lows and highs. The in-ear thing is a first for Fostex, with the company having only created over-ear headphones in the past. Each has an in-line omni electret-condenser mic and music controller for use with smartphones and comes with four pairs of replaceable ear tips for comfortable listening over long periods. Protective leatherette carrying pouch included.
