CMG AV SPOTS UP WITH MEYER LEOPARD
When an events company invests in Meyer Sound stock, word spreads; especially when it’s a ‘first of its kind’ in Australia.
Fledgling events solutions company CMG Audio Visual may only be months old but it’s already made international waves by purchasing a Meyer Leopard line array system. The Wollongong-based company, helmed by Tobi Pinazza, has aspirations to be the premier events company of the region, facilitating live sound, vision and lighting needs for everything from weddings to outdoor music festivals.
In the process of establishing its inventory, CMG AV has partnered with a number of reputable brands such as Sennheiser, Midas, L-Acoustics, Martin Lighting, Barco Vision and MA Lighting.
The newly acquired Leopard line array system from Meyer Sound is the baby of the LEO series — although it’s no weakling. Designed to be compact and lightweight, it is well suited to a broad range of applications, from mid-sized touring and live theatre, to worship and live performance installations. As is Meyer’s design philosophy, Leopard’s elements are self-powered, eliminating the need for amp racks and allowing for quick rigging. As part of the initial order, CMG AV has purchased 18 mid/high boxes and 12 900-LFC companion subs.
