NAMM: CLARETT AUDIO INTERFACES

Focusrite has introduced its new Clarett range of audio interfaces combining a new preamp design with Thunderbolt connections, allowing a latency of under 1ms.
Featuring 24bit, 192kHz sample rates, with a dynamic range of 116dB A/D and 118dB D/A and a mic pre Mic Pre EIN = -128dB. The interfaces include a Thunderbolt connection, MIDI and extended ADAT IO, separate rear panel inputs for mic, line and instrument, dedicated phantom power, phase reverse and high pass filters on every channel. Also included is the 64-bit AAX, AU and VST compatible Red 2 and Red 3 Plug-in Suite.
In addition, the redesigned mic preamps are modelled from the original ISAs.
The range is made up of four devices:
- Clarett 2 Pre: 10 In/4 Out
- Clarett 4 Pre: 18 In/8 Out
- Clarett 8 Pre: 18 In/20 Out
- Clarett 8 Pre X: 26 In/28 Out – Flagship model comes in a 2U rack design
