AUDIO-TECHNICA’S SYSTEM 10

Audio-Technica has released a new camera-mounted digital wireless system, that has a speedy setup for fast shooters – System 10.

If watching our recent Wireless Workshop live-stream (link to video), whet your appetite, you’ll be interested to hear that Technical Audio Group now has the System 10 in-store. It’s time to let the Christmas hinting commence.

The new wireless system features 24-bit/48kHz wireless operation, in a 2.4 GHz range. With a 12-hr internal rechargeable battery (receiver only), battery indicators on each display, and the ability to connect up to eight transmitters to a single receiver. Audio output is via a 3.5mm mini jack, with a switch selection between TRS balanced/unbalanced (dual mono), a separate headphone port and volume control.

The receiver has multiple mounting options to accommodate most cameras or recording devices, and each of the handheld, lapel or body-pack configurations come with a receiver, transmitter and a hot shoe mount. In addition, the system is designed to automatically select channels, sync and setup, meaning not only will you be able to start filming quickly, but it should also stay free from TV interference.

The System 10 camera-mount digital wireless system is now available in three configurations:

• ATW-1702 handheld transmitter system,with a price tag of A$499
• ATW-1701L lapel mic./body-pack system, with a price tag of A$599
• ATW-1701 body-pack system (no mic),with a price tag of A$499
