Audio-Technica is recording a nice little package deal of its two most popular products — the AT2020 cardioid condenser microphone and the ATHM20x closed-back headphones.
You’ve probably come across an AT2020 at some point. It’s an affordable and utilitarian all-rounder that’s comfortable in front of vocals, acoustic guitars, drum overheads, amps, and other acoustic sources. The ATH-M20x headphones have 40mm drivers that provide well-balanced and detailed audio for recording or live use. The closed back design means they won’t spill lots of audio into a mic while tracking. Comfortable cushioned ear pads let you keep them on for extended mixing sessions.
Together, the mic and cans are a great starting point for a beginner or a useful addition to an established studio that won’t go unused. At $239, it’s a no-brainer.
