Audio-Technica has produced a Bluetooth version of its ubiquitous ATH-M20x headphones. The wirelesss over-ear headphones retain their sound signature while offering an impressive 60 hours of runtime on one charge, as well as multi-point pairing, a low-latency mode, and a USB-C connection. It comes in at A$169.

Audio-Technica proved the wireless concept with the ATH-M50xBT, with its professional features, sonic performance and battery life. The ATH-M20xBT does much the same thing to the lower-cost ATH-M20x.

The 40mm drivers deliver natural, full-range audio and the closed-back housing helps retain lower frequencies, making the headphones well suited to all music types and styles. Newly added are the buttons on the left earcup allowing to play, pause and skip audio. The left earcup also houses the built-in microphone for phone calls.

With an impressive 60 hours of continuous playback on one full charge, the ATH-M20xBT boasts best-in-class battery life. Thanks to the USB-C connection and provided cable there is also the option for a 10-minute fast charge that yields up to three hours of continuous playback.

The headphones come with the option of multipairing, allowing the listener to connect up to two devices simultaneously to quickly switch between them without having to disconnect. In addition, thanks to the low latency mode, users can now enjoy streaming videos and playing games without lag.

Each ATH-M20xBT comes with a USB Type-A/Type-C charging cable and a 1.2m cable for wired use, allowing buyers to use their headphones everywhere from the studio to the streets.
