Glitchmachines: Fracture
A free buffer-effect plugin geared toward creating robotic artefacts & musical malfunctions.
Glitchmachines was established in 2005 by sound designer Ivo Ivanov. During the early stages of the company, it focused on building handcrafted circuit-bent hardware instruments. It sold a limited number of units through boutique synth shops in California and custom made instruments for numerous artists and sound designers. In 2010 the focus shifted to creative audio plugins and sound effects. Glitchmachines’ vision is to defy creative and technical trends by providing forward-thinking sound effects and creative audio software in order to continue to innovate.
Fracture is a versatile effects processor geared toward electronic musicians and sound designers. This plugin was designed to add glitchy articulations and abstract textures to your projects, and can be used on anything from drums and percussion to synth lines and sound effects. Fracture’s intuitive interface and diverse features make it simple to give your projects a unique technical edge.
The plugin features a buffer effect, a multimode filter, three LFOs, and a delay. At the Config Menu of Fracture’s interface, a drop down menu allows you to reconfigure the order of the effects in the chain. This is particularly useful since the order of the effects will significantly influence the final result of your patch. The randomise function will set all the parameters to random values, which can quickly yield interesting creative results. Automate Fracture’s parameters via your DAW to gain precise control, allowing you to construct complex passages of parameter animations within the context of your sessions.
Features:
- Buffer, delay & filter FX
- 3 flexible LFOs
- Effects chain configuration
- Scalable user interface
