Chowdhury DSP is a project created by Jatin Chowdhury with the intention of developing innovative and high-quality audio software, as well as making that software available to the widest audience possible. ChowDSP software is driven by the desire to create useful tools for musicians and audio engineers; tools that sound great, are easy to use, and provide musical inspiration.
With a focus on guitar distortion, Build-Your-Own-Distortion is an audio plugin that allows the user to create DIY guitar effects through a customisable signal chain. The plugin contains emulations of guitar distortion and tone-shaping circuits, along with a handful of useful musical tone-shaping filters, and other useful processing blocks. BYOD supports the following desktop plugin formats: VST3, AU, CLAP, AAX, Standalone, and LV2, as well as Standalone and AUv3 on iOS devices.
