Audiomovers, innovators in pro audio collaboration tools, has announced the launch of their new podcast series, Unsung. This compelling series explores the untold stories and creative processes behind some of the world’s most iconic music, drawing from a cast of globally acclaimed record producers, studio engineers and artists. The first episode of Unsung, featuring an in-depth interview with UK producer and Central Cee collaborator Eight8, is available to listen to now.
Speaking about the launch of Unsung, the podcast’s Co-Host and Producer Matt Soczywko says, “Unsung is about honouring the real stories, and the truth behind the music that shapes our lives. It’s a podcast by music obsessives, for music obsessives. Join us.”
On the first episode of Unsung, Eight8 speaks about his career to date, breakthrough moments, and his contributions to Central Cee’s UK Number 1 debut album You Can’t Rush Greatness, which includes Eight8’s work on singles Moi (with Raye), gen z luv, and No Introduction, the latter of which he provides a detailed breakdown of on the episode.
Eight8 has built a reputation for his versatile production style, working across genres and with a diverse range of artists, including Clean Bandit, Aitch, Chip, Chase & Status, Pa Salieu, Nafe Smallz, and many more. Eight8 played an important role in the success of D Block Europe’s albums Lap 5 and DBE WORLD, contributing to three tracks on the former and four on the latter, producing key singles, Potential, Man in the Mirror, Bankroll Got Bigger and Pass the Parcel.
Unsung shines a light on the hidden hands behind the music, giving a voice to the ‘unsung’ heroes of the recording process. The series offers a rich and vivid journey into the creative methods and collaborative experiences of songwriters, mixers, composers, producers and engineers.
Hosted by audio professionals and music industry experts – Jocelin Francis, Matt Soczywko, Mirek Stiles and Igor Maxymenko, Unsung isn’t about reprinting the myth, but instead correcting the record. Conversations are frequently technical and always detailed – live track breakdowns reveal the Pro Tools sessions and secret tools and techniques of producers, artists and engineers.

New episodes of Unsung will be released every Thursday, with the first set announced today – including appearances from two-time GRAMMY Award-winning mix engineer Rick St. Hilaire (Alicia Keys, Damian Marley), three-time GRAMMY-winning mixing and movie-scoring mixer Alan Meyerson (Dune: Part Two, The Dark Knight, Interstellar), GRAMMY-winning singer, guitarist, and producer, Nick Waterhouse (Lana Del Rey, Jon Batiste), composer, pianist, and producer Raphaelle Thibaut (Secrets of the Whales, Heart of Invictus). GRAMMY-winning and multi-platinum mix engineer David “Yungin” Kim (Nas, Kendrick Lamar, Nipsey Hussle), London-based vocal producer and recording engineer Ramera Abraham (Adele, Little Mix, Sam Fender), and Manchester-based multi-platinum producers LiTek and whYJay (Central Cee, Aitch, Tion Wayne) will also be on the podcast in the coming weeks.
