Almost exactly a year on from announcing the release of the 4th Generation Scarlett series, Focusrite has released three more interfaces to expand the range. Offering, of course, identical specifications and circuitry to the initial units, these latest additions provide a significantly higher I/O count and features that naturally support wider connectivity such as monitor switching. The model names say it all as far as the channel count is concerned – the 16i16, 18i16 and the 18i20 with the last having a built-in talkback microphone.

4th Gen Features (across all models):

120dB dynamic range, using converters from flagship RedNet range
All-new, remote-controlled preamps with 69dB of gain for great sound from any mic*
Re-engineered Air mode with Presence, and all-new Harmonic Drive
Auto Gain automatically to set the recording levels*
Clip Safe monitors recording levels and automatically adjusts the gain to prevent clipping*
Brand-new custom-designed headphone amp
Redesigned Dynamic Gain Halos with output metering, modernising the iconic Scarlett Gain Halos
Redesigned headphones for Focusrite’s Studio packs, with flatter frequency response and improved comfort
Refreshed Easy Start tool

Availability is expected to be mid-October.
