More on the sporting front. Audio-Technica has become the Official Headphone Partner of the Sound Sydney Rabbitohs rugby league football team. To launch the partnership, Audio-Technica distributed headphones and in-ears to each of the first grade players and coaching staff. The favourite choice of the players was Audio-Technica’s professional studio reference ATH-M50 headphones. Available in red, black and white the pick for most of the players was red. Also popular was the Solid Bass WS99 a new model featuring an additional bass chamber to generate extra low frequency impact making them ideal for bass dominant music styles like dance and hip-hop. Among the coaching staff the choice was Audio-Technica’s new top of the line ANC9 noise cancelling headphone, a wise choice for air travel to interstate and international games.
Audio-Technica recently did a similar thing for the Sydney Kings basketball team. Next stop the Sydney Swans? Hmm… with a player list alone of 44 players that might stress the headphone warehouse stocks a bit.
