Total subscription revenue has reached $28.0 million, an increase of 56.4% year-over-year.

The growth in paid subscriptions for creative tools reflects Avid’s mission to provide increasing value for its customers. The October Pro Tools update showcased multiple feature updates long sought by Avid users, including:

  • Integration with Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol MIDI keyboards, enabling hands-on control of Native Instrument Plug-Ins, and use of Navigate, Mix, and Control Transport functions from Pro Tools.
  • Further customisation in both Dark and Classic UI themes for accessibility and fun, including new high contrast mode and background colors.
  • Automatic downmix when routing between different track widths, to help users save time and minimise complexity.

Avid isn’t just expanding Pro Tools capabilities; they are also working to expand the tools available to Pro Tools subscribers. Avid continues to add new tools to their Inner Circle Program, which provides over $1000 worth of free plug-ins, sounds, and resources to Pro Tools subscribers. The latest new tool will become available on November 11th. Subscribers will be able to access The Odyssey Collection: Design Elements, a powerful multi-band graphic EQ created in collaboration with Academy Award-winning sound editors Mark Mangini and Richard L. Anderson, ODE. The collection includes expertly crafted hits, transitions, whooshes, and other vital design elements.
